What I Use

I often get asked about what I use for different aspects of my life. I'm kinda odd in the Hashimoto world because I don't have many of the symptoms that many other Hashi's warriors have. I can't attribute that to just a few things I do but... what I do do will be listed here. Subject to change as needed. I totally can't say that these things will be helpful for you. Everyone is different.  However, cleaning out the chemicals in your house, & cleaning up your diet is never a bad thing.
Important note: Some of these links are affiliate links, especially the Amazon items. This doesn't cost you more, but provides a small kickback that blesses my daughter when you purchase using these links. Thank you!

Health & Wellness:
Under the care of a doctor, & years of research {never stop researching}, I take NDT {natural thyroid meds}. Tip: if your NDTs don't seem to be doing anything for you - chew them & split your dosage between morning/afternoon.
You can learn a ton from the Stop the Thyroid Madness website.

Essential Oils: I use these for mood management, minor {sometimes more than minor} aches & things of that nature. Also for support for my thyroid as well as other body systems. Basically I use these pro-actively for my health & wellness. doTERRA is the Essential Oil brand that I chose.

Salt Lamp
Beeswax Candles: I'm testing a new source and will report back.

Diet:
Paleo/Primal - giving up grains was life-changing! There are a TON of blogs & recipe books out there if you are thinking of making the switch. I do use local raw milk, pastured eggs, & very occasionally, cheese b/c these foods don't seem to cause me trouble. If you don't know what foods cause your body stress please do an Auto-Immune Paleo diet & see what your food triggers are.
Three of my favorite blogs for general recipes are: Planks, Love, and Guacamole, Stupid Easy Paleo and Elena's Pantry. Fork & Beans is good too. lol. There are lots of wonderful blogs.

We order grass-fed & finished beef {& other items} from US Wellness Meats. The are wonderful & ship quickly. They also have KerryGold Butter. :)

I make tortillas from Otto's Cassava Flour, and am dying to try a pizza crust! You can use this for a variety of things tho'. I usually buy here. Check their main site for sales/free shipping options. IG: @ottos_cassava_flour for more recipes + they are just really nice people.

For sugar we use Maple Syrup or Raw Honey. My fav honey is from Tropical Traditions. New TT customers will also receive a free book about Coconut Oil & why it's so awesome {& I'll receive a small discount coupon for referring you} when clicking a link above & placing an order. TT also has frequent sales & free shipping offers.

I'm getting rid of plastics, & using more canning type jars for leftovers along with something like these containers.

Supplements: Hashi & thyroid problems, & other auto-immune issues, can deplete vitamins & minerals, or keep them from being absorbed properly from food to begin with...
So I take the following: {look for supplements that have the least filler ingredients & are gluten/soy free. I recommend talking your doc into labs - or getting them done on your own - before you supplement, esp with D3 which is the only one I have labs for. The 4 Iron labs are also important.}
B1 {Thiamine}
Selenium
D3 or this D3 and K2
Krill
CALM
MSM
And this deoderant is awesome!
Vit C
Beet Root Powder for my HBP. I'm also using Copaiba for this as well as another supplement that I'm testing - and will report back.

Hurom slow Juicer

Dehydrator Excalibur 5-tray... I might actually be selling mine. It's great but I don't use it much. Email if you are interested.

Amazon Gift cards: Swagbucks is a great way to get Amazon gift cards for free. It doesn't add up quickly but if you remember to work it ... it can help pay for amazon items just by using it as your search engine {you can also do other tasks to earn 'points' like watch vids if your time/bandwidth allows} Sign up here.  This is how I bought my juicer and dehydrator.

HBA: I use the following hair & skin products... our skin is always absorbing stuff so I try to make sure that it's not absorbing substances & chemicals that will cause my body to attack itself more than it already does {or cause issues later in life after decades of exposure}. I quit using make-up about 9 years ago so I won't be able to recommend anything of that nature. I only recommend what I actually use. My skin can be dry {esp in a few spots} & I'm non-reactive to most things. These will be fine even if you have sensitive skin - I use very small amounts of EOs in my products. Do what works for you.

doTERRA Body Lotion: I often will mix in a touch of Frankincense or Lavender.
Face Lotion: doTERRA Verage.
Hashi's has caused my hair to be very dry & this shampoo/conditioner work great & last me quite awhile since I'm not washing my hair daily {daily-ish washing = hair like straw}.
doTERRA Shampoo & Conditioner

Cleaning - I'm working on getting this category all non-toxic:
doTERRA OnGuard concentrated cleaner for laundry, hand-washing dishes, & soap dispensers in bathrooms.
Damp cloth for dusting.
Diffusing EOs for air freshness & health benefits.
I'm still using this Toilet Wand for toilets & Magic Eraser for bathtubs.
On Guard concentrated cleaner for faux wood floors & tile.
I'm looking into Norwex cloths.

Sorry this is so long - I get asked about a variety of things so now I'll have a space to point someone to for answers.
Any other questions/comments just leave a message here or email me.

Love & Light,
Linda
